About the Role
As an Account Manager at Lely Sweden, you are responsible for developing and nurturing long-term customer relationships with existing agricultural customers in your region. The role is business-focused and requires you to be out with customers for the majority of your time, working proactively to understand their operations, identify needs, and ensure they get maximum value from their Lely solutions.
You are attuned to signals related to the aftermarket – service contracts, consumables, smaller products, and upgrades – while simultaneously capturing larger business opportunities and forwarding the dialogue internally to the appropriate function, such as project sales or the service organization. You are the customer's natural contact point for non-technical questions and ensure that the customer receives a cohesive and professional experience throughout the relationship.
The role involves significant personal responsibility where you plan your own day, schedule your customer visits, and manage your pipeline in the CRM system. At the same time, you are an integral part of a tight sales team, collaborating closely with project sales, the service organization, FMS, and marketing functions to create the best possible customer benefit.
You work systematically with customer visits, conducting needs assessments, following up on previous initiatives, and creating a clear action plan together with the customer. A key part of the role is ensuring that what is promised internally and externally is also delivered, as well as following up on results and customer satisfaction over time.
You report to the Sales and Project Manager and are part of a team of five within the Swedish sales organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers
- Conduct proactive customer visits and needs assessments
- Identify upselling opportunities
- Act as the customer's primary contact point
- Coordinate internally between service, FMS, and project sales
- Work actively in CRM (Salesforce) with follow-up, pipeline, and documentation
- Create quotes for smaller products and follow up on deals to closure
- Participate in customer events, open farm days, and industry activities
- Ensure follow-up on actions and customer plans after each visit
- Contribute to the development of working methods and customer processes
The position is a permanent full-time role with flexible placement. You will work either from home or from Lely's office in Lidköping, depending on what suits you best. The role is largely field-based, meaning you work out with customers in your region, with travel being a natural part of your daily routine.
About You
We are looking for someone who thrives in a relationship-building and business-focused role where you take significant personal responsibility and independently drive your work forward. You have strong drive, are initiative-taking, and are motivated by creating value through close dialogue with customers.
You have a natural ability to listen to customer needs and translate them into business opportunities. At the same time, you are structured and confident in working long-term with customer relationships where trust and presence are crucial.
To succeed in this role, we see that you:
- Have experience in sales or customer-facing work, preferably with a focus on long-term relationships
- Have an interest in or experience from agriculture, technical solutions, or a similar industry
- Thrive in a role where you plan and structure your own day
- Have good system proficiency, preferably from CRM systems like Salesforce or similar
- Are communicative and confident in dialogue with various types of customers and colleagues
- Hold a valid B-driver's license
- Communicate fluently in Swedish and have good knowledge of English
